The future for the Qbn Womens team is looking very bright with the new 20/20 Glenda Hall competition and the Lynne O’Meara Premiership which is a combination of 20/20 and one day. The club will be fielding teams in both competitions thanks to the fantastic work of their coach Peter Baker. The format for the games will be:
Women's Premier League Competition Lynne O'Meara Premiership Cup
- 50 over and T20 games played under Women's National Cricket League rules
- Targeting Representative players and experienced non-representative players age 15 years and over
- Played on Saturdays
- 9 rounds and a final from October to February
- Club based teams preparing players for representative duties at U17 and open age level
Glenda Hall Shield competition (Twenty20 cricket)
- Shorter form of the game, designed to give new and/or social players an opportunity to enjoy a game cricket with friends in a friendly and supportive environment
- Played on a Sunday afternoons
- Runs for approximately 7 weeks before Christmas and 7 weeks after Christmas
For girls Under 10-15’s who would like to try out their skills but have never played before they can played a modified version of the game on Monday nights from 5.30 -7.30. You will need to register with ACT Cricket.
